Anyone have an old racing suit they're willing to part with?
Here in AZ, we have this newfangled race series called the Honda Challenge starting up at the end of September (maybe you've heard of it
).
Being the typical grassroots style racer, I shockingly don't have alot of $$ to spend, and what little I do have must go towards a roll cage, fire suppresant system, etc. to get the car legal to race. In my effort to cut costs, I'm seeking out anyone who might have their first racing suit laying around collecting dust. If it doesn't hold too much sentimental value, I'd like to take it off your hands.
pm me or email if you'd like to help out a racer who's down on his buck... er, luck.

http://www.racerpartswholesale.com should have inexpensive stuff
You are willing to risk a lot ----
Don't you know what happens when you buy someone else's old suit????
It walks and tlaks to you in your sleep. You will smell like someone else. It will never wash right.
Think on why that person got a new one
Whatever you do, don't borrow one from someone who raced the weekend before
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

You really going to do it? Cool!
Check out http://www.ompusa.com/Outlet/suits.htm for discontinued and otherwise not cutting-edge stuff. New.
For used stuff, I'm always surprised what comes up on ebay, and IT.com. But, as mentioned before, there's a reason someone's selling that suit.
I guess this means you'll be needing my wheels after all

Thanks for the link Travis. Some of those prices are great- but make me wish I was a fat guy to fit them
And sorry, I got a new set of auto-x wheels so I can use my stockers for HC.

goern-R, as Travis mentioned, there are usually closeouts for the various high (price - not saying on is more high-end quality than another) end suits. Pretty much add "usa.com" to the big names (momo/omp/sparco) and what you can happen across is a variant on the above "why is it selling cheap" which is "someone wanted their name on it and never bought it so it selling for half-price." As long as you can cover their name up with a patch or something similar, deal!
