Default D16ZC = What Years?

Im about to order a motor from Japan Domestic Motor.com(the ad pops up uptop sometimes) and was just making sure, they said its a 97 d16ZC, said in japan they don't use the USDM(y7,y8) codes. Is this correct?

thanks in advance

As far as I know, the d16a is the DOHC 1st gen Integra motor. Maybe there's an SOHC JDM version.
