Mounting battery in spare tire area, correct way to do it?

Mounting battery in spare tire area, correct way to do it?
I have an Optima Red Top that is being mounted in a small marine battery box in the rear of my CRX. Anyone know what the best position in the tire well would be for the case? The very rear center seems to have grooves that fit the box perfectly but just looking for some opinions.
Also what is the best way to mount it down. I was planning on 4 3/8" bolts with big *** washers on both the inside of the box and outside of car. Would this be sufficient?

Bolts the went through the box and the car and hold that sucker in there tight would be the best. You dont want that think to move if you get in an accident and then come flying into your head.

Weld in a flat plate and bolt to it, I couldn't find enough room to make a secure setup so this was the only choice.
