I was just wondering how you know if your aftermarket shocks are blown? I have no idea. I wanted to know what the signs are of a blown shocks. Also how do you blow them out anyways?

It's easy to tell if your shocks are blown. If you go over a bump and your car goes up and down and up and down and up and... that means your shocks are dead. A normal car should bounce maybe once, twice.

Look for shock oil on the ground where you normally park. Also, there will probably be oil all over the shock itself (unless they're gas struts, then I dunno). The best way to tell though, is to remove the shock and see how much resistence there is on the plunger. Blown shocks that I've worked on could be moved up and down about as easily as a bicycle pump...
