ok here is the source for this query. you need adobe acrobat to read it.

ok from this point on in the post, i assume you've read the artcile and
you have it handy for reference. uh huh, i said handy.
. . . now the questions
#1 - drop exaust
the only hint the article provides as to how to acomplish
this is "simply removing two bolts". so my questions are
if one wanted to acomplish this how would it be done on
a 95 integra? and, are there any Known perforamce
improvements from this modification? -
#2 - track use, #3 - no thanks, #4 - not applicable
#5 - remove accessory belts
ok, basicly the same questions. how and what?
also, are there any known adverse effects of
removing the belt. like oh.. power steering
not being powered? .. i dunno.
#6 - have appointment to borrow timing light.
#7 - okay.
#8 - re-gap spark plugs
what kind of tool is used ot re-gap .005 inches
at a time?
#9 - disconnect egr
sounds good, how?
#10 - that's pretty straight forward

the questions i've asked would be easily answered
by a manual but.. (continue reading)

Thermostats.. last thing I promise.
I already posted a question about replacing
the thermostat, already bought replacement
coolant for the coolant that is supposed to leak
out. So just double checking.. the thermostat
is located on the engine 'end' of the radiator
tube leading from the botom of the radtiator
to the engine? in reply to my previous post
some people mentioned 3 bolts.. i only saw 1.
which is why i asked - just double checking.
anyway, if anyone has replaced the thermostat
can i get an approximation of the diameter of
the part. it seems too big to fit inside to tube,
and perhaps small enough to fit in the metal
-housing-? the thermostat i have is 2 inches in
diameter.
well that concludes my ridiculously long post . . .
i hope i can get some answers to these seemingly
simple questions. also i hope that some of these
tips (from turbo magazine) can help other import
owners get that extra oumph! thanks in advance.

#1 I did this for about a week, and had some laughs..I have no clue if it yields any power. All I could say is that it feels more..flowing. Does that make sense? If you want to try it, look at your muffler, and you will see where it is connected to the piping. It's just 2 bolts, I believe 14mm. Tuan from SuperHonda.org mentioned that in the 1/4mile, an ITR gained .5 when he dropped his muffler.
#5 You can remove your power steering belt pretty easily. It is the farthest forward belt when you are facing the front of your car. There are two bolts on the side of the power steering unit, and a wingnut on top. Loosen screws, loosen wingnut, and the belt will come loose. Pull off belt, tighten screws/wingnut.
lol #1- I went driving around 12am in a residential area without my muffler and flying past 8000rpms....heh heh heh..DAMN that's loud!

is there anything bad that can occur from removing the power steering belt?
how long would it take you LeeChun, if you were to take it off and put it back on.... (the powersteering belt that is.)

don't stop at the PS belt (at the strip only!) remove the alternator as well, as long as you don't have to wait for a long time in the que, and don't turn your radio on while you are waiting, it will not drain your battery.
as for the AC, as long as you don't turn it on, the only drain you will have from that is however much drag the belt and bering on the compressor create.
the spark plug thing. you use feeler guages to check the gap, don't use that little keychain wheel thing you get at pep-boys or whatever, go out and buy a set of feeler guages. as far as making the gap farther than recomended, it will intensify the spark, however it will also shorten the duration. you only have so much electrical current you are dealing with, so if you make it more intense it will be shorter.

about the alternator belt..I hope Samagon was kidding...battery is about 12.6-12.8v, but with the motor running I believe it's around 14.4v, which means..you need an alternator..heh heh

Well, I realized that a lot of people have taken their power steering belts off for a long time, and they don't have any problems. When your belt is off, there is still fluid going around inside the rack, so it will stay lubricated.
