changing ecu chip from chipped p28 need help please ? what tool i need ?
im trying to take out my j's racing from p28 ecu that was chiped by hyperducktuning .com ( adrian
) im trying to take out the chip and i tried a flat head screw driver and pliers the chip doesnt want to come out , the ecu is socketed so i know it does come out and not soldered together , can some one give me some pointers thanks

it usually doesn't take hardly any force t take it out, my suggestion is to keep at it with a flat head. CAREFULLY pry up both ends evenly, if not you could damage the chip pins.
Use a flathead as suggested above or anything that is thin enough to slip between the plastic frame of the socket and the chip. Slip that in and gently twist the screwdriver around...instead of trying to "crowbar" it off. If that doesn't work then go to radio shack and get yourself a chip puller.
