I bought a 96 JDM 4 door R as seen here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=570796. I seem to be having difficulty finding out how I go about the whole process as no one knows anything about where I need to go. Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA

 

Do you need registration or a smog done?

Smogs are easy as hell in GA. But Registration might be another issue. Do you have all your paperwork?

 

Yeah according to the tag office I have all I need except the certification required to title a vehicle. As for smog I don't know if that will be a requirement or not.

3500 for the car, 2000 for the shipping, the guy just made 4000 dollars off of you, for absolutely nothing but shipping the car in

you will need to change many things, including front end bumper support, all brake lines, headlights, all glass, brake pads, ecu (just for the emissions thing), and a few other things.

prepare to spend another $4000-5000, and lots of your time to get this thing road ready. this will be hell for you.

ricky down in miami florida imported and legalized a 96 jdm itr. he went thru painstaking processes and finally, had to go through quite a few loop holes. in addition, additional insurance fees...as the parts are not readily available here. i think he spent a good 8 months on the whole ordeal.

 

Ya I know he made that much off me, but where else are you gonna get one cept in Japan ? How do you figure 4000 to 5000 ?
