si tranny prob

Default si tranny prob

I am sure some one has had this issue.. Around 2200 to 4000 i get a grinding sound in the tranny... only during slow accelaration if i get on it no sound what so ever any ideas here.......

Grinding? I've heard of and had a whirring noise, but no grinding while it is in gear and accelerating. My guess would be you chipped a tooth pretty badly and it just doesn't mesh with the countershaft gear that well.

Sounds to me like some bearings(there are many) telling you they are old.

Your's has suffered the same fate mine has..

Spent diff bearings...Loaded and unloaded will growl at you..

Time to split the case and rebuild...or purchase a "less" used one..
