$6,000 for turbo set up........help me out yall
my car is a 2000 integra LS, my plans WE'RE to get a rev hard kit with the tial wastegate upgrade, hondata stage 4b w/converter since my car is OBDII, all my guages, and blitz DSBC.
the rest of the money is going to install and dyno tuning.
now for some reason i'm stuck between drag and rev hard......
rev hard seems to have a better manifold but i hear it doesnt come with as many parts like an the intake pipe and filter....is that tru?
and the drag has alot of chrome.....how much hotter does that make it?
i dunno.....sorry for the long post, i juss wanted some opinions from yall. anything i should change?
TIA
thanks

with all the parts you listed, i would say your total would be over $6000.
considering most people on these boards are listing revhard kits installed for about $3500-$3700. then $250 for a 35mm tial wastegate. stage 4b hondata, 440 cc injectors, obd2 harness, obd1 ecu will cost roughly $1500+. the blitz boost controller will run you another few hundred all the guages will run you a good couple of hundred with autometer.
then the dyno time for tuning will run another few hundred.
sounds like a good plan though.
people seem to be getting good results with both revhard and drag3 kits on their integras and civics.

what u r talking about doing is gonna cost more then 6000.. i think u can do everything u want to do installed for 8000 but if u find good deals then u may be able to work it down to 7..
but the set up sounds good

thanks for your replies guys......well the 6,000 is how much i have right now. i guess it is gunna cost a bit more, but by the time my turbo and all the other stuff gets here i'll have 2 or 3 more paychecks comin in. any suggestions as to what kit i should get? im leaning towards the rev hard, but if anybody has an opinion on why i should go DRAG i would like to hear it....
thanks
thanks
well money isnt really an issue, i juss wanted to things right the first time. which is one of the reasons why im going standalone right from the get go. but thanks though
I might have to disagree on the piecing your own kit..
I am doing it right now, yes it is cheaper, but the amount of time and effort, trying to find silicon housing, intercooler pipes, or if you 're making your own, gettting the right angle and what not...it is a pain in the ***.....
the only reason I am piecing my own, is because I can buy it slowly, and no big lump sum of money is needed....
just like when you move, the little things is what takes up most of your time...
Arturbo has always mention keep it simple and stupid....
start simple with the most basic setup, learn it, get used to it, and tune it....then move up gradually...one staep at a time...
this way if something goes wrong, you won;t have to mess with 10 millions different parts and possibilities..and it makes it easier to troubleshoot it..

aim for about 12psi, leave out the computer hondata unless you plan on pushing more psi, and then you need pistons and rods....
oh and don't forget the LSD to hold the power with both wheels instead of one..

in my opinion...
-go wit the DRAG3 kit
-ditch the fuel pump that comes wit the kit and get a better one (such as Bosche)
-ditch the Deltagate and get a Tial wastegate
-upgrade to ball bearing if you can afford to
-get some injectors and get a good stand alone unit
-get a cool boost controller
-dyno your car... see how rich or lean it is... and from there... upgrade you air/fuel set-up and see how much power you get!

well, keep in mind when you order your kit, you won't need any check valves, fuel pumps, or FMU's, so have them keep those items and remove the retail value of the items from your kit. That should keep the cost a little more reasonable. As for gauges, anything more than boost, EGT and fuel pressure is overkill for this setup. The Hondata and some 440cc injectors sounds like a GREAT idea. But I'd add in an adjustable fuel pressure regulator like AEM's to the setup. Good luck, you're on the right track.
I guess he forgot to mention that he is already boosting 13psi, and running 12's...hehe, are you not?

ask ben the piece you a kit he'll know what u need. Maint concern on piecing your own kit is piping and fitting the intercooler. I believe ben sells the complete piping for around 550
