Do the 97R and 98R's have a carbon fiber dash? Also, do the gauges and buttons light up red/amber at night?

No, the 97 ITR's do not have carbon fiber dash inserts like the 00-01 do. They do have carbon fiber around the guages though. Yes they do light up amber at night.
