Default New Stuff!!

Picked up car today after having MAJOR UPGRADES instaled.
Much thanks to Mike at IPS Racing who got the parts and did all the work.

I.) Tein Ha.

Totaly rockin'! Unbelievable! Wicked Awesome! (Boston!)
Highway home. Planted and stable.
Blasting over areas of screwed up road that were problematic before.
They truly felt great!
Can not wait to get in car tomorrow.
BTW. No noise or anything. lowered all the way. looks great. rides great.

II.) ITR transmission, ITR LSD, ITR clutch, ITR flywheel!

Again, totaly great. I already consider this the most important mod on my car. If I were to buy a new GSR this is the first mod(s) I would be saving for. The improvement in the gearing is truly dramatic. Better acceleration, better everything. ITR flywheel revs faster too. Def. feel dif. btween GSR and ITR flywheel. Makes me wish I went lighter, but the price was too good to pass. ITR clutch feels great. smooth, but very strong. And...the LSD. it is true what others have said. Watch your azz on the on/off ramps because I am coming through!

How much was labor for that install, that is, if you dont mind me asking? I have heard people say you can do a clutch by yourself, but I imagine a whole tranny would be a bit more difficult.

Cool Aj,

I live in North Easton! What does your car look like?

Do you autox or head to Epping at all? If you're interested, check out the DFH forum or join our yahoogroups mailling list. We are also having a dyno day at ACS Racing in Hanover, MA on 8/18...

BTW, I really think a nice tranny is one of the best upgrades for our low TQ motors, esp if you stay all motor.

I went USDM ITR Tranny, KAAZ LSD, and JDM FD. As you said, it makes a dramatic diff. Course, it may have also been the JDM ITR pistons, Toda B Specs, and the headwork, lol.

Oh, forgot to mention that I love the Spoon flywheel too. I believe it's about 10 lbs, a little lighter than ITR. I don't really have any probs taking off, but car revs very quickly. Prob don't want to go too light on the street.

HEY ajbones... no 5 lug for me, that would cost too much for rim changeover....
no hookups yet for the 5 lug but I did go ITR LCAs/shocks/struts
but I DO LOVE FASTBRAKES!!!!!!
the 2 piece rotors are crazy great breaks, and with oem Prelude pads they still feel so much better - unbiased too, from my fellow teg drivers that got the chance to drive my kaaah.
I thought it rocks, and when they think so then I KNOW it does in comparison to stockers.

Next mod for me is Hella horns, B&M fpr&guage, HID lights, Spoon F&R tower bars and CF hood with possible CF fenders....
Horns, FPR&guage and the HID lights are here now, but kaaah is a broke still... hood should be next week.
I guess the next real mod will be valvetrain/ECU or Fastbrakes 11.4" rear brakes.

REGA EVO FOR YOOOOO? sick sick sick! got the parts-hookup or a great job?

Y2kgsr...its cool......I drool at your car everytime I see it. One of the badder lookin' tegs on here. love that color...them rims look killer on your car, and that turbo should be wicked awesome too!!!

Berkel, I am hoping to get to Epping before too long, but want to be sure all is good first. car is 95 gsr, so I have been replacing alot of things to try and get it in top shape before i go to track etc, almost there though. I live right by ACS racing. drop by once in a while to see what cars they got going. There is a Porsche Boxster with eaton super charger and Nos they have been settting up and that car is preety damn nice. hope to get to next dyno day, missed last one because i was working all day.

owen, brakes sound great. Kinda holdin the regas for now till I figure out exact what to do, besides I got 16 inch rims wityh dunlop sp9000 right now and the sp9000 got a long life yet, but i am trying real hard to abuse them to death so I don't feel guilty when i switch rims.

And the scary part is noooo, I got no real hookup price wise, and I got nooo great job ( a couple crappy jobs though). just work, work and spend, spend. mike at IPS racing has been very fair and reasonable with all his prices and for all his labor charges. David at Rand D d has also been great.

next stage gets kinda spendy. Got Jun 3 kit to go in, but first I need to get the motor right for the jun's. Spoon itr pistons are next step. But the Jun's will also need headwork to get the most out of them. actualy am considering selling the whole kit and buying a new itr head with the money instead. car is starting to get up in miles and I would prefer to get new stuff instead of chucking money at old stuff. thinking out loud again.
