I had the mccord e cut, two of them actually one as a back up ... the first one broke after the first day i had it, and the second one lasted me a week. The gears in the motors are complete ****, because the motors are cheap crap. If you want an ecut pay the money and get something way better

... you said the exact same thing in another thread... yet you avoided answering my question... so again, i have never heard of this... everyone i have talked to is happy with their product... do you have pics?... also, in case you didnt notice... mccord consulting has 1 year warranty for the motor and gearbox and a 3 year warranty on the body and all other electronics... so you could have easily got both of your ecutouts repaired... in addition, if you are at wot with the cutout closed, you obviously risk damaging the unit... why not just open the cutout... lastly, if you dont recommend the mccord, which one would you recommend?... quicktime?..

*edit* - typos

Sorry i never saw your response in the other thread. Yes mccord has a 1 year warranty and they did send me new gears, but i still took out the ecut and went with a different setup because it was only a matter of time before the new gears broke anyway. The idea of a cut out is so you have the ability to open when you want, not every time you're at WOT which is rediculous, because if you've ever driven in a honda with an E cut out you'll know that it's damn loud and very illegal.

So the product is crap, but they give you a warranty, which is good, because you'll be making good use of it, i for one do not enjoy crawling under my car every week, pulling off my ecut, breaking apart the electronic motor, replacing the cheap plastic gears, so that it can only break again.

Unfortunately i can't comment on any other ecuts because i have not used them ... i'm just telling you to steer clear of the mccord

Oh one more thing, the other thing i disliked about the ecut out for an N/A application was how low it was hanging below the car. It would constantly get caught and scrap it was a real annoyance

... fair enough... thanks for sharing you experiences... but i must say you are the only person i have ever heard of who has had a bad experience with these... and as far as having it open at wot being ridiculous... how hard is it to flip the switch for 1 second to open the cutout 1/4 of the way?... seems worth it to me to prevent damage... and as far as daily driving goes, how often are you at wot anyways?... personally, i am only at wot when i am racing... and of course i will have the cutout open then... going to get the groceries... rarely if ever...
