It depends. IN CALIFORNIA.
If you are ever classified as a "gross polluter" you are flagged and will be smogged each year there after.
Usually it is every 2 years if your car is older than 6 years and if the car is new every 3 years.

man that suks ***** because i checked and all the places want $60 + $8.95 for certificate...that's $75 with tax! the smog guy also said in oct rates will raise from $60 to $80!!

Wheres that place that did ur alignment bro? I just lowered my car on GC and koni yellows along with a front camber kit and want to get an alignment as soon as the springs settle....

....prices are probably going up because of the "dyno" they have to use now to smog cars
, shops are still trying to pay them off

They will do your alignment but won't adjust your camber kit because they say it's too much work. I've tried. The place is called Tung's Auto Repair off of Senter Rd in San Jose. It's near Tully and Senter. The cross street is Parrott Ave..
