Well, if you dont know the built LS is down right now with a spun rod bearing. I bought myself a gsr longblock that has skunk2 valves, springs, retainers but unfortunately the bottom end is stock.

How far should I boost it you guys think?? I really could care less if the ringlands gave up or even a sleeve decided to crack. I want to run 15 psi, but I know that **** wont last so Im thinking 11. 11 will be fun on the sc61, should be over 300whp.
Everything else will be in check, ie EMS/wideband/fuel system/tuning, etc.

search neeeewbie! seriously though with your fuel management setup I think you would be ok with 11psi, atleast till the LS is back in order.

as long as you keep a good air fuel ratio with that compression you just have to be careful

With a thicker headgasket and arp headstuds I made 420whp on 21psi, Hondata tuned. Take out the timing and let the turbo make the power.

How long has that engine lasted? although i have a b16a i would love to be able to make 300-310whp, im runing inline pro 3mm gasket and arp's, is it do-able? im running hondata and 52lb injectors for fuel, and gruvytune is tuning the car..

The engine lasted six months until I pulled it to install my built engine. The engine still remains as my back up. Making that kind of power will depend on what compressor, exhaust size, and exhaust housing size you went with.

Ehh, I dont even feel like pulling the head to put a gasket in there. I think I'll just turn it up and see what kind of power will be made at 15 psi with very conservative timing maps.

Should be together sometime next week. Just waiting on the JG intake thats in transit right now. Dyno will be a little afterwards.

I just tuned a jdm gsr motor last week with an sc61 and very conservative timing map and made 320whp at 9psi. Bone stock motor with skunk 2 intake manifold. I'd keep the timing conservative and tune to about 320-350whp. Boost isn't really as relevant as hp in this situation.
