FYI dan paramore does not work for DPR anymore. The investors fired his *** due to poor sales. DPR is still around, but he just doesnt work there anymore. There are many other good headporters out there.

That's really weird that you said he's fired, because I just talked to him this saturday at the shop while he was preparing for Bonneville. He was helping me outline a plan for my all motor set up. But yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about their work and their customer service, but that's not to say that I haven't heard a couple of not so good stories either. I know that their prices are going to be the highest anywhere (as I've heard). Anyways, if anyone else has had experience with them please reply, i'd love to hear about DPR cuzz i'm ready to do a Stage V job on my head to prep it for 200 WHP all motor screaming gizzer!

If he's out of business then who has my head ? He is up and running and doing a stage 5 to my R head as well welding the combustion chambers for more cr. He also did a days worth of failure anaylisis with full documentation of the whole process with photo's. He is also replacing all my bent valves with 1/2 mm over size stainless ones and new guides. Yes dan is probably the most $ but after several phone conversations with all the head porters he was the one I felt comfortable going with. He was the only one who was willing to try to find the root cause of my problem and go from there, and in my eyes thats meant alot. I wont say names but I made 5 emails and two phone calls to one porter and never got any reply.( guess there only good for there web site). My head was supposed to be done next week but I told Dan to stop working on it so he could concentrate on getting ready for Bonneville. But when its done I'll be sure to have my freind take tons of pics and post them for everyone.

his investors and him did go separate ways, but Dan kept the DPR name. His work is good, not from personal experience; but a couple of my friends have shipped heads to him

thanks for the info acuraintegraman. I didnt know that he still retained the name. I thought it was the other way around. But i recommend getting work done where the fast cars get theirs done. Go to the track and ask around where the fast cars got there heads done and how much it cost. Thats the best bet IMO.

IF you go to http://integra.vtec.net/engine/stagevi.html, you can read up on a good review of the Stage VI headwork he does. It's stated that it cost him 1550 for the head work shipped, but i've been quoted a price of 2788 for a stage V with throttle bottle enlarged, fuel injectors cleaned, and other stuff that i have yet to find out to actually make the price so much more expensive. I've heard of other people getting their head work for almost 2000 from Dan. So yeah, your best bet is to probably ask around for prices.

I have the DPR stage 6+ headwork with additional stuff and options added to it and all I have to say is that I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and for the power I've gotten in return. I'm running 11.8 compression via a Mugen headgasket and chamber welding, and I have thew head ported out to match Toda Cams, which I'm runnin spec B's. Add the Skunk 2 manifold to it, rev to 9 grand and you're all set.
