Default do USDM type-r's have the faux carbon fiber pieces that JDM ones do?

I am type-r illiterate, so pardon the question.

Do the USDM type-r have the same carbon fiber dash pieces that JDM type-r do ? i see these on ebay all the time, but am unsure if the vent pieces etc will fit.

I would like to incorporate the same to my GSR and was wondering if people can purchase these from the dealer or pray to find someone parting out a type-r somewhere with the dash and door pieces.

I guess I may be better off going with a real CF dash kit, but I wonder if the fit and finish is good and I dont want the car looking all ricey. Anyone done this and any recommendations on what brand that may be worth buying ?

Thanks!

i have an actual c/f dash kit..i bought it loong time ago when i got the R. it's a 98, so it didn't come w/any faux c/f pieces (i think the faux looks tacky anyway).
i think the aftermarket c/f dash kit looks better.. but it's all personal preference. some might say it's rice... but everyone who's been inside my car likes it (and no i dont have ricer friends )

i guess it's harder to see when small..you can add .orig.jpg to the end of the image for a full size.

Funny I was just pricing the "Real CF pieces as I couldn't understand why the Passenger Side didn't have the fake CF pattern on it. I think the JDM ITR has the Fake CF on the Door ontrols as well.

I have a CF dash kit in my Civic and I like it. I have had it in ther for a number of years and throulg all the heat and cold it has always looked good.

I have had good experiences with ToraSport who made a dash kit for my 1991 MR2 Turbo and it fitted real nice. So, if anyone decides to buy a set for theirs, check with them. They carry one for tegs, but the price is up there, close to 300 bux.

So, only the 2001 type-R's came with the faux c/f I take it? I was gonna buy the JDM stuff, but makes no sense unless its all there and matched.

Spoond_Teg - could you post more pics? I am curious to see what it looks like together? Is it too much CF and takes away from the clean layout that I love about integras...

Thanks to all for the replies!

2000 does as well.
