Anyone going? Im thinking about registering and it would be nice if some of the other Tyte Rs were around. It will be my first event(if I do register) and would be nice to get some pointers from fellow R drivers.

 

My girls parent live up there we're like an hour from there, post some more info on this. thanks.

FYI, there is also another event at Pocono on August 9-10 hosted by PDA http://www.pdadrivingschool.com that is $230 on saturday and $250 on sunday. I think registration for that is still open too.

 

Damn that ***** expensive, I would love to do some Road Racing i had a blast for a couple laps at Beaver even though i couldnt get on it much . I think my car would be bad *** on a big track like that . autox's are cool but i haev too much power to do anything with it in a small street course

i'll be down . it will be my first event too. are looking at going to the 250 or 180 dollar one

From what I was told today by the people running the event ( NASA and http://www.entropyracing.com ), this HPDE is going to be $175 for one day of the event, and $325 for both days. There will be 4 twenty minute sessions minimum, probably close to 1.5 to 2 hours of track time, with 2 class sessions.

Not so sure about this Pocono event but......I know for sure that there will be 14 ITR going to the Nasa-NE Watkins Glen HPDE on Sept 22-23.
I hope you can make it to that one too......

But, if you want to have tons of fun.... The Glen. Like Oscar wrote, there are about 14 of us rolling up there. I think just being on a track with so much history is worth the trip.

 

Id definitely like to hit up the Glen. Is Pocono not a very fun track? or is it a hard track to learn on compared to the Glen? maybe I should just save my money and go to the Glen instead?

 

Pocono is ok. I have only done the long course...which can be boring....very long straights where the higher HP cars pass you, then you get stuck behind them in the short infield. The last time I went (in 2001), the infield's ashpalt wasn't the best and it rained, so the event was mostly cancelled (high banks + rain = damage). I am going this time, mainly to try out my car. But, any track day is a fun day!

 

May be you can consider going to Pocono for 1 day and save the $$ for Watkins Glen
