Default JRSC type R @ 10PSI= 245whp/170wtq

Hit the dyno yesterday for some tunning..
I pulled 245WHP/170WTQ@ 9.9PSI

The belt was slipping on the dyno so im sure I lost like 5HP or so....

my set up is:
100% stock type R
JRSC with CRV pulley=10psi
Short ram intake
2 1/4 exhaust, no cat, no resonator
DC 4-1 header
hondata 2b
Rc 440's

let me know what you think?

I had a very similar setup and had 247HP/161TQ on 8.5 psi. I've since switched, but when I watched the intake temps they were about 20 degrees warmer with the short ram VS the long intake taking air in the front fender well.

Steve

ps want to buy a kamikazi header for $100 shipped ?

Ill tell you your motor is cute when you blow it to pieces!

seriously tho 245 is enough for the street... well 265 is better but ill be there soon!
300+ in a FWD is just redicilous....

In San Jose, CA there is an ITR with almost your exact setup....maybe bigger injectors...that is putting down 283whp.

But those are pretty good numbers for a JRSC nonetheless.

You will have to get us some track numbers...the ITR in San Jose used to put down 254whp and ran a 12.3 on slicks...he hasn't been back to the track since the last tuning session. I'm interested to see what you can do.

Here's some ideas for you.

Change to a better flowing header , 2.5" Kamakazi, JDM DC ,
Change to a larger exhaust , 2.5" or bigger
Replace the Type Intake cam to a GSR then use cam gears to dial it in
Draw intake air from the coolest location possible , keep it as short as you can,
These will give you a potetial to make more power with tunning.
The main thing you have to look into is those intake temps , I 'm guessing they are around 230-240 Deg, We build intercoolers for the blower , check my sig, you can also look into a small shot of NOS , C02, propain etc.
Good luck with your set up.

Really good numbers, I'm only making what my signature says, but on stock boost.

Now I have a question, does your boost gauge show 10'lbs of boost with the CRV crank pulley? I have a brand new one sitting in my garage that I am tempted to put on, but I also worry about intake temps..... but I also have an alcohol injection system sitting down there to help lower those temps.

Does the Kamikaze header really aid in getting the flow of exhaust out quicker? I have heard that those headers have a problem sealing when you bolt them together....

ummm really a GSR intake cam will help?
exhaust ya ill for sure be chaging that soon...and looking into a cooling system...

as for my boost gauge its actually screwed up, it reads 25 vac at idle when really its 20.... but yes it does run exactly 9.9 PSI since it said that on the dyno....

its really worth it. I recommend you put that pulley on ASAP, ull love it

Why don't you go buy a vortech and tell us all about it when you start your own damn thread. Quit knockin dudes setup.
Nice #'s man, want to get a little more hp and you already have hondata? Why don't you check into their nitrous controls? Simple software patch that you can get from any Hondata dealer then all you need is a bottle, line, and solenoid. Worked for me and my D-series, check out sig
