b16 distributor. conversion? replacement?
OK.... for one i searched.... i really didn't find the answers i was looking for so now im posting.
heres the deal. What distributor will fit a obd0 91 crx with a b16 swap? im told i can only get one used from an sir crx. there has to be another way.
what have all of you done to fix the problem of buying over seas for a new one?

Any OBD0 Diz will work. I didn't say mount up correctly but will work electronicly. I've used B18A with no problems just have to cut the front leg off. I'm unsure on how to make a D16 diz work but if you can live with it being mounted with some bolts and washers it will work. Another option is if you disassemble the Diz you can swap the inners into another This will only work with each generation of Diz.
ive heard of swapping the inners, but i don't have the correct tools and i started to strip out the screws

Try Hmotorsonline.com That's where I got my new dist. when mine took a ****. I forget the price but it wasn't too bad. You can always do the "modifed 2 legged" dist., but I'm not a big fan of that. I'd rather do it the right way.
