Default need help with my B18c1 CRX

Well i've had the car for about a year now and bought the car with the GSR engine already installed. VTEC has never worked in the car since i bought it, mainly because alot of the wires were never hooked up. Well I went to a shop 2 weekends ago and got the wiring problem all hooked up except I have to hook up a second O2 sensor...

Prior to getting the wiring fixed, the car was throwing codes 14 & 23 (IAC and Knock sensor), and after the wiring got hooked up the car was running pretty strong with no codes, just ran rich because of the O2 sensor. The car ran fine all the way home from the shop (4 hour drive) except it started to overheat once, but I let the car cool down topped it up and it work fine.

Well a couple days later on the way to work I was driving on the highway and brought the car to about 7k and shifted, the next thing the CEL comes on and it's throwing 14 & 23 again and after that the temp guage in the car wasn't register properly at all (would go past the top of the gauge as soon as you start the car). I heard a hissing noise from under my hood and found one of the coolant lines going to the IAC was spraying out of a small hole in the hose, fixed that, topped up the coolant bled the coolant of air and pulled the hazard fuse to reset everything. The car ran fine after that for a bit, then a day later the CEL came one for IAC again, next day ran fine, then today was throwing 14 & 23 again

I'm curious if anyone had a similar situation or if some one could just plain help me out...
- do i need a new IAC and knock sensor?
- do i need a temp sensor?

I just need some help because I don't know if it actually needs those peices, or something else it messing them up, or one of them is messing the others. I can't just borrow a working part off somebody and try see if that will fix it, since it's a small place and i'm the only one with this setup in a 4 hour radius

more info if it helps:
89 CRX si
'94 GSR engine/ 93 GSR tranny
Xsi Ecu

Any help is appreciated.

P.S.- sorry for the long post haha

I would suggest getting your XSi computer chipped, one of the many versions of the mugen program have those two sensors disabled along with your second 02 sensor. If you are interested i can do this for you.

how would the car run with these disabled? is it good to bypass all these sensors?

on most aftermarket programs, the knock sensor is disabled because they use forged pistons that trigger the knock and thus knocking the timing down etc. etc. Plenty of people run this type of program to make wiring easy. Most of the time its easier to do this than to do it wrong whic happens alot.
