It will benefit you if your car was more modded, i dont think that it will give you a big increase with just an intake
Well, how can you not get some hp when you dump more fuel and air into the chambers?? Bigger explosion no? ? Worse mileage i know but i can deal with less than 27 mpg.

An increase in air flow from an intake alone isn't enough to warrant an aftermarket ECU. The stock ECU is up to the task of handling the small increase in air flow from the intake. Besides, don't forget that your exhaust manifold and exhaust is still holding up flow on the other side of your engine. A chipped ECU would be more beneficial to you if you had more mods, say a header, cat-back exhaust, bored out throttle body, cams, and cam gears...that sort of thing. Save you money and put it into something else for the time being. Then get one after you have more serious modifications.
