Pictures of the parts in question would help. If you do have to bolt to the cage structure, the best way to do it is drill a hole all the way through the tube, large enough to put a new piece of steel tube through it - with an ID the appropriate size for a bolt. Weld the new tube into the hole, long enough that it just clears the rollcage tube and use a GOOD bolt - none of this Home Despot grade 5/8 crap - through the eye. (Don't know if you have eyes or clips.) Another answer is to weld tabs onto the cage. NOTE however that the shorter the harnesses are, the less stretch you get in a crash. This can be either GOOD or BAD depending on whether you are talking about attenuating the impact's effect on your bod' or travelling far enough to hit the dash/steering wheel...
