? about putting d16a6 pistons/rods in a d16y8 ?
one of my friends has a 97 ex block -d16y8-
the car is a 90 si hatch -d16a6-
he spun the rod bearings, so he got the 97 block, with no internals...he was wondering if 90 si pistons and rods would work in the 97 ex block?
i told him i thought they would fit, but wasn't sure about the rod/stroke ratio..
i told him i would ask around, but i think he should just get new rods/pistons for a 97 ex block.
any thoughts?
try a search......i know the bore is the same (75mm) and i believe you will get a slightly higher compression ratio. I could be wrong though
