Won't run on 75lb injectors...
First off, I have an 8 injector setup for future purposes, but for now I intend on only using 4.
Just got the car running on 240cc injectors but they are easily max'd out on my current setup. I have 75lb cpr injectors but the car has trouble starting, won't maintain idle, and revs are slow and choppy. I have a Hondata 4b with a turbo base map that I use with the 240cc injectors and it drives fine. When I try to run the 75lb injectors on the base map, its just practically undriveable. I set the map for the injectors, and the multiplier is .305 for all 3 settings on the rom editor. Is there any other settings I missed?
An idea might be the way I wired the resistor box. I spliced in a second set of plugs just in case I want to return back to stock in the future by just unpluggin the resistor box.
I have the 240cc injectors unplugged and the 75lb injectors plugged in with the second set of plugs. I'm positive the wires are connected properly as well.
- 4 yellow/black wires on the harness(original injector plugs) to the single red/black
on the resistor box
- 4 yellow/black wires on the resistor box to the 4 yellow/black wires on the second
set of plugs
- color to color on each corresponding plug
I brought out a multimeter and tested voltages and resistances and everything was in par. Resistors were showing ~6ohms; Definitely getting a 12v source to the box; Continuity in all the wires..
I'm stumped...any ideas?
Thanks

True, but wouldn't the base map adjust the fuel maps at least somewhat for the bigger injectors? IE: Since the multiplier is .305 and 240 is .305 of 787.5(75lb), shouldn't all the parts of the fuel map be reduced by .305 to compensate for the bigger injectors? If not, whats the point of even listing the injector size if it does nothing?
Sorry, I have yet to learn how to tune.
Thanks!

The injector compensator feature is only to get you close. It has no way of predicting pintle behavior in each injector, spray pattern, etc.. Be glad it even runs on a base map with those injectors.
Fuel pressure is at 38psi. I'm sure its in the "rediculously rich" range, I can even smell it. I would just rather be able to run the 75lb injectors to be on the safe side till I get to a tuner. I easily max out those 240s w/o even trying.
Thanks guys

Exactly. I am running 800cc injectors and am still tuning the damn thing. Just start tuning with a wideband or take it to someone who can.
