Default JDM circuit license plate holder, folds up at 55mph

Brand new in box. Automatically folds up at 55mph to allow more air to enter the radiator. Also (a mere suggestion, I do not recommend this if your state uses speed trap cameras this will also hide your plate.
$100 shipped.

tks,
David

does it come back down when you go slower than 55mph? is it electrical?

im pretty sure it probably works on wind resistance. the air pushes hard enough and it just rotates back on a hinge.

oOOo..i guess the picture in the packaging threw me off cuz it looks like the grill is blocking it's way? wouldn't our grill block the way too?

blufke is correct. It is a mechanical hinge that works on wind resistance. The wind will push on the plate and at about 55 mph it will be pushed up completely. As your slow down so does the wind force and the spring on the hinge will push the plate back to normal.

if you have 100mm in depth and 115mm in height then you are all set. You can just move your plate a little forward to make room.

Ha, I got two hinges from Home Depot for $5, put two holes on the underside of my front bumper, then put weights on to judge when the plate goes up,

$100-If someone buys this they need to go to school again.

You really can't blame the guy for using Honda-Tech only to unload his "JDM part" at an inflated price. Right?

sigh~ sorry about the price. I'm really not trying to inflate the price. That is how much it costs. Japanese tax is 5% and shipping to you will be another $10.

I guess I'll write like Japanese made or something instead of JDM....sorry it upsetted you guys.

haha actually I am making myself one, I'm still looking for the right tension spring. hmm that's a good point, weights....I'll have to try that. This is for someone that likes something that is guaranteed to work and not deal with the hassel of DIY. It also has a hole that lets you put a screw in if you don't want it to flip up.

tks again,
David
