anyone ever crash their G3 integra?
I was wondering how protective an G3 Acura Integra really is? I have never gotten into a serious accident where I totalled my car and/or nearly killed myself.
However, I did rear end a civic and well I fuqed that civic up. It was so bad that the body shop chopped off the rear and put another on! It cost him about $7,000 worth of damage.
What happened to me?
I did about $250.00 worth of damage to my bumper and cracked my intercooler.
Had the intercooler rewelded and pressure tested and it is prefectly fine now.
Am I lucky or what?!

GAWDAMN! I am glad your friend is alive from this. Thank God he didn't have a passenger with him! Man that is must of been some hellified traffic accident.
What the F was wrong with the pickup truck owner? Was he drunk at the time?
I guess you can survive in a Teg from a massive collision. I guess that is Honda's quality of crumple zones however a Teg doesn't feel safe and sturdy to me.
I just feel real nimbleness when I drive my acura. I guess that is a distinct advantage in dodging dangerous occurences on the road. I also pray that I don't run into a little woman (on a cellphone), driving a SUV (Excursion) while doing her lipstick who f-in swerves into your gawdamn lane with no warning. Sorry this happen to me yesterday...all I am saying is thank god for my GAB 4-ways or my bodykit would of been toast when I dodge that BIYOTCH by going offroad.

I was acting stupid during the winter. I was doing donuts in the snow, and lost control and drove it into a snow bank. The front bumper got broken lose, but, i popped it back in. Its fine now.
does my 94 GSR sedan have a side impact door beam?
I crashed my 97 Type R. It was totalled by the insurance company, but it barely looked it. I went off-roading (unintentionally) and did a bunch of 360's until I chanced upon a small creek.
Neither the passenger nor myself were injured. I did pass out a few times from the impact of my head hitting something, probably the passenger seat. No airbags went off because it was side impact. From my experience, I'd rate the 3rd gen very safe.

No, 3rd gen tegs got them in 97 I think. If you get in a newer 3rd gen and feel the doors they are way heavier.

All of the third gen tegs have side impact beams. Not just 97+. Its written in the law that the cars must have them. Not sure when this law was passed though.
I was rearended by a 92 Ford F250 about a week ago. He was going about 60mph, I was at a complete stop. My whole back end was behind the rear seats. I walked with a pulled muscle in my neck. Still waiting on some $$$$
guys i just checked my window sticker for my 94 Integra sedan... it lists "side impact door beams and pads", I also thought they added it in 97+ years... oh well, i'm happy that I now know I have side impact door beams while this whole time I've owned my car I thought i didn't have them
Damn by lookin at all of these pix whoa i feel somewhat safer with the side impact door beams

I tend to agree with Ha-evolution,
On 96 and older brochures, no mention of side impact beams.
Acura started to brag about it on 97+ Integra models.
May be Acura marketing department was being modest.
And NO. I'm too lazy to pull my door panel apart to look for it.

Just FYI, having to cut off the fron or rear end of a car and weld on a new one is now uncommon. That is often better than straigtening out the car.
