I have a blown front speaker in a 90 accord and I would like to put in a new front pair of speakers. How do the front inside door handles come out? The service manual says to take out the screw and pull the handle assembly half way out. then disconnect the latch rod and the lock switch. I cant pull the latch assembly out at all. thanks

i think i just took the door panel off as far as i could get and just reached behind it and pulled it off that way

also if your door is like mine if you take the screws out that hold on the part of the door that is in front of the speaker you can just use the clips that hold it to the door frame that way if you ever need to get to the speakers again you can just pop off the small section in front of the speaker

Wow...you're testing my memory banks here. If I understand what you're asking about, I had to do this job many moons ago with my '90. As I remember, you basically take off the latch assembly by sliding it off once you remove the screw. I can't remember if it goes comes loose by pulling towards the front or the back, but I think it's the back. Then of course you pull off the door panel from the bottom up after unscrewing/poping the clips.
