Painting Da Tailights- a bit o tech
Background- last summer my car got rearended 98 civic EX, so that seemed like a good time to get some new tailights. so i bought some read and clears off a guy on honda tech. What he failed to tell me is that there were clears that he had painted, and rather badly I might add.
So tonight I fixed them. (i had painted them once before, and it worked up until now, but the paint was fading)
Tailights Out!!! (with ghetto sub project)
Painting the lights
Lights installed, and yes, the corners are supposed to be all red, I wanted something different and plus I didn't want to go find orange bulbs for the turn signals.
Final front shot with homegrown black headlights, just because.
Any Questions?
Paint was testors candy apple red transparent paint. do not use a clear coat over it, it will turn yellow over time, this is why i had to redo mine. What i do not have pictures of is the couple hours i spent with my power sander taking off all the old paint. But, I love the results.

i did mine two weeks ago with the exact same color and scheme on my milano red hx. The amber just got on my nerves way to much

This is what I have to do on a 5 dollar budget.
It actually looks much better in the daylight, the flash makes them look funky.
