Default ABS ?

Does the ABS system work off of the ECU or is it independant? I'm thinking of going with an OBD1 ECU & was told the ABS won't work without the factory one.

ABS is independent....

the brain is located around the passenger rear speaker.....

i'm on obd1 and loving it.

you do lose the immobilizer though..

and knock sensor w/ a p28.
