Default :: rsx type-s and 250whp all motor, how? ::

what is the easiest way to get to 250whp all motor in an rsx type-s? right now i am looking at intake, headers, exhaust, and the toda engine kit. that gets me to about 225whp. so what can be done to get the extra 25 hp? lemme know, thanks in advance.

Go with the Hytech Kit bro, it's supposed to give amazing hp numbers but look for a really big price tag. Good luck.

tuning huh? and how do you propose i do this? get a dyno run in with the wideband, then disconnect everything and send it all out to toda or hondata for another reflash, then do that again, and again. sorry, but doesnt seem like a viable option right now. maybe in the future. but, i do see your point about worrying about peak hp numbers. i guess i was just wondering what other bolt-ons are available. anyways, thanks for the input. i think i will just build it and be happy with what it gets me. anyone else?

There is only so much you can do with a N/A k20a2 because its so new on the market that alot of the company's are still coming up with products for the motor. I would say just get I/H/E and hondata and then just wait for a little while till some more products come onto the market if your trying to get that much power.

so you dont think i should go with the toda kit (seen here)? any reason? just curious. i'd like to hear what other think. i know it is priced on the high end, but it looks like the next best thing to the hytech kit (unless there is more out there that i dont know about). thanks.

why not save up for the hytech kit? its tuned perfectly and u dont have a sheeeitty idle. uYou can run 91 oct 26 mpg and u know everything was made to work together. All u need is a cai.

If u were gonna do internals the price would be dayamn close to the hytech kit anyways. Just save ur money when u can afford the kit there should be improvements to it, or there will be more options. No need to rush into things. The K series have only been around for 2 years and they are already hitting 265 whp! imagine another year. dare i say 300 whp+?

So to sum it up dont drop money on a kit right now they are still working out all the kinks n tweaking them even further.

for a quick fix why not get type-r cams n hondata ?

hytech is soooo expensive though. almost 7-8k for 320hp flywheel, not even including labor...which is gonna be another 1-2grand. i mean thats alot of horsepower, but I would have rather spent 8k more and gotten a nicer car. cause 8-10kk is like 1/3 of what my rsx cost when I bought it. but its still a badass kit.

No but gunning for 250 WHP for a unknown purpose is ?

I think you should look at the purpose of your needs first.

With that WHP putting it down in a street car with affordable tires is going to be a challenge so whats the point ?

It may be better to look at the weight more or suspension or traction first

I would start with the ITR trans if anything

I just bought one myself ...and everthing i have gotton from Toda for my B-series stuff has been excellent
but there dyno charts on the Toda site are impressive
im interested to see how close i come to that mark

For more than 225 your looking at pistons, rods, larger cams and standalone tuning

The Toda cams and I/H/E should net you some nice street power without breaking the bank if you need more than 225 I would suggest you go turbo because big NA power is alot of $$$ vs 4-5G's on a good turbo setup and 300+whp

Or drop a DC5-R motor into an EK with the toda kit and run 12's on street tires lol
