why not use stock motor mounts that come in complete swaps
ok no im not that ignorant...im talking about complete swaps like the first gen b16a that came out of the crx SiRs. why dont the CRX SiR mounts work on CRX Si Chassis? same with shift linkage... 
im sure this has been covered before but my keywords werent getting me the info i was lookin for

if you look at a japanese front clip, the chassis mounting points are in different locations compared to the US mount locations. In order to use the factory SIR mounts, the chassis brackets would have to be drilled out and rewelded in the "right" location.
