smoke coming from exhaust all the time?
i have dc header 4-2-1, and a greddy evo exhaust..and whenever i rev it up past 4000 rmp, no matter cold or hot, white smoke always pours out of the exhaust, got the **** smogged to, or attempted, failed it bad! it backfires to sometimes...what is the problem???
oh, you did get it smogged, sorry, didn't read all the way
when i first got my car, smoke came out of my exhaust too. after i got a new clutch and a new carborator, the exhaust was fine. get your cars overheating thing checked

Hate to tell you this man, but that's burning oil you're seeing. A rich mixture would be black smoke. People always say oil smoke is blue, but to my eyes it always looks white. (though steam (coolant) is "whiter") Also coolant going through the exhaust will have kind of a sweet, nauseating smell to it. If it's happening only when you rev up, then chances are you've blown a piston ring(s). Is it actually happening when you're at 4000 RPM or only after you let off the throttle from 4000 RPM? I'd start with a compression test. I'll bet you see a low cylinder or two.
