Does the steering wheel have a smaller diameter than a 4th gen? Maybe he wants a smaller diameter wheel that comes if an airbag. Ever though of that? don't need to jump on his case like that.

only 5th from what i've read. the little splines and what not on the s2k wheels are incompatible with the 4th gen.

if it makes you faster, and doesn't destroy your car's reliability, do it and f*ck what everybody else says.

but to answer your question: i don't know if they fit or not. we're talking about the JDM ITR wheel or the USDM steering wheel?

Is the RSX wheel compatible? besides the I think it's almost the same as the S2k wheel, and probably cheaper.

I want one of these wheels for my prelude because my wheel makes he feel like I am driving a bus.

i don't think a type-r steering wheel is going to make you faster. it may save weight if it has no air bag, but it's not like you'll notice it.

If it's smaller, though, it'll make takin curves easier, making you faster...

I despise preludes with Prelude Type-R stickers, and ITR shiftknobs, and shift boots. The steering wheel would be the ultimate insult... Besides smaller wheels just make it harder to turn without PS.

Hey I didnt mean to insult you. Though it sounds weird to me. Its like me having a type R, and wanting to put a prelude steering wheel on it. It just doesnt work for me. A sparco or any other aftermarket steering wheel would fit your needs better, because it has the mount that should fit the car's steering wheel. To answer your question I am not sure if it would fit. Though i have never tried.

We are referring to the civic type r wheel correct?

I was pretty sure that These vehicles all had the same spline count and shaft diameter. (compatable)

96-00 civic
2000-up s2000
EP3 Si hatch
2001-up civic
Dc5 RSX
98-up accord
pilot
oddysey
inspire
element
crv

okk. all 3 of you stfu

it doesn't say TYPE ARRR on the steering wheel..
now does it?

it has or
that's all

and 5th gens have power steering..

so if it's a smaller diameter it's still good

yea, that would be a cool mod.

all honda/acura steering wheels are the same, except cars equipped with atts.
atts cars have a notch on the steering shaft that relays the turning angle to the atts.
so a car without atts can use any honda steering wheel, even one with atts: while a car equipped with atts requires either a wheel from another atts car or you can modify a non atts wheel to fit by grinding the notch out of a non atts wheel
