turns out there are over a hundred pics of many members cars being sold on this cd all without permission.... i haev hosted the pics on my server so you can see if your car is on here. spread the word

I don't get it what's illegal about what the seller is doing? You have to copy right an image for it to be protected. Yet another reason not to post pics of your car on the internet.

He is making money off our pictures(my car is #54) he didn't have permission to sell them, they can still be considered private property unless sold to someone. Pam and Tommy didn't copyright their video but, they still got paid for it! If I was getting paid, I probably wouldn't mind so much...

I believe that once you produce a work of art it is automatically copyrighted under law. It's not like a registered trademark that must be registered.
Once the picture is taken, it is property of the photographer, under law, if I recall a discussion in one of my calsses last year given by a copyright lawyer.
The problem with this is that the responsibility to prove copyright infringment lies with the artist, so he/she must be able to make a case against the infringer, as well as bring it to the authorities.
