i just got a jdm h22a swap done to my 94si, initially, it ran pretty bad, with engine light on.. so i went back to the shop and the cel threw out an o2 sensor code.. they swapped the o2 sensor to make sure it wasn't causing problems.. no results after that.. thinking it could be the ecu we tried to swap it with one of their ecu's.. ran the same. Then i was told it could be bad spark plugs or the like.. so they did a basic tune up.. spark plugs/wires/distributor cap and rotor/fuel filter. Now, that was done today, and the car ran a lot better, big difference.. i would say it's all good now if the engine light didn't come on again, when they checked the cel again, it didn't throw out anything that was actually a code.. no more o2 sensor problem. Yet still engine light.. =\

any ideas? thanx

 

reset the ecu and see if it stays on
