Check the local welding supply shops and see if they have a bulletin board where you can post a "wanted".

Ask at any local schools that may be around you.

I looked everywhere for 2 years for a that model or a Lincoln squarewave275.... Only found 2 beat to death commercial machines that were junk. Ended up getting the lincoln on sale as an end of model closeout for a good price.

Good luck...................

It depends on what type of work you are doing.

TIG rules!!!
but mig is much cheaper and easier to use. especially if you are just gonna do exhuast work etc.

I bought my MIG welder from Harbor Freight tools, i woulda got a TIG but there to friggin exspensive. But my MIG has gas hook ups so i can do aluminum and stainless steel, and it was only 190 shipped. All in all, i'm really happy with it. The cheapest TIG i've seen on ebay is around 700 and i've seen them up to 3000 on ebay. I don't know much about them so i don't know what the differences are.

If you aren't going to be doing alot of thin aluminum then a good mig welder is the way to go.

the cheapest tig from Lincoln is the Pro 175 which I bought for 1600 bucks at Praxair. That was about a year and half ago. It may be a little cheaper now. I love my machine and welds 1/8 inch aluminum with no problem anything thicker you may have some problems.

Well, after slaving day and night for a month or more over the internet ive found my TIG welder. It actually is the one i learned on. My buddy had bought a Miller Syncrowave 300 from a local welding supply store about 3-4 months ago. I was so jealous he found a local used one from a reputable shop that had inspected and rebuilt it. He needs funds for his Sil80 project and says he doesnt have time to mess wiht it, so he sold it to me and said he would get another down the road. It is old as ****, im talkin like so old dont even knwo how old it is. It has the Older Miller logo on it and doesnt have all the fancy features that the newer models have. Also the dials on it are real old looking and the point on the dials that tells you where you are are made out of some kind of paper or card board or somthin. It looks good and i know it works and im getting everything with it even the bottle and a **** load of Tungsten and filler rod. So thanks for all the input guys, but one ended up being right down the street in my buddys shop . Ill let you all know how my expreiences with it go. Im definately a TIG n00b, so itll take me awhile.
