Default HID Retrofit - Audi Projectors - ?

I'm currently debating whether to go with a Catz 4500k or 5100k HID kit for my 1995 Integra with 2001 headlights, or to do an Audi A6 retrofit like is decribed at http://www.skafia.com/itr/hid/ .

Take a look at the difference:

Audi A6 beam pattern:

Catz 4500k in Integra projectors pattern:

As you can tell, the OEM retrofit is far superior but also looks to be a huge amount more work. A few questions...

Is the A6 retrofit worthwhile?
What specifically are all the OEM parts would I need?
What other donors besides the A6 should I look for?
Would simply swapping in brand new glass Hella 90mm projectors give me the same performance as an Audi retrofit? Would it be less work or just as much?
How much do the OEM retrofits usually end up costing?
** Would A6 Bi-Xenon projectors fit, and are they preferable?
** Would E-Code A6 projectors fit, are they legal, or will they blind oncoming traffic?

Thanks,
Ben

If you get the Catz HID you'll have more than enough light on the ground to see. I have yet to hear complaints about any HID kit light output.

The A6 projector retro fit is nice touch but it's costly. Figure spending $150-$200 on the projectors and then another $250-$300 on OEM hids. No warranty and you gotta rip open your headlights.

Or spend $400 on a Catz kit and have it plug & play.

Don't take this the wrong way, but unless you're seriously legally blind, you'll have more than enough visible light with the Catz kit in the Integra projectors.

i have the catz, and i can tell you that i installed it in less than 20 minutes (just another 2 hours to hide all the ****). i will say, if you do an OEM retrofit like skafia did, and you blow one of the bulbs, you can just go to your local Audi dealership and pick up another bulb. if anyone with these plug and play kits (such as myself) blows a bulb, we're SOL. so the more work you do now, the less you'll have to do later.

beautifully put!.....that is the stuff people don't realize....how the F**k are they going to replace their blown ballast or bulb when it's a kit??....just buy oem gear and it's easy as hell to replace if something should happen to go wrong!.....plus it's WAY better to start with......don't do a half assed job....do it right, go OEM!!!!!
