205/50/15 or 195/50/15 for drag racing?
Which of the following sizes for tires are better for drag racing...I am going to be using this for a street driven car as well.
I was looking at 195/50/15 OR 205/50/15
Also if I were to get 16" wheels and use this size: 205/45/16, would it make a big difference at the track as compared to the tire sizes above?
Thanks!

For the best traction you will need the biggest contact spot, so i would go with the 205's. Also what tires are you going to use cause that will make a big difference too.
The falken azenis have great grip and so do the yokohama es100's along with some kuhmo tires so make sure you get a good tire !

Contrary to what everyone else is saying...
The skinniest tire you can keep on the drive wheels and keep traction the better. In the first 60 feet the tires push the car. In the next 1260 feet rolling resistance becomes the issue. If you can keep the same traction with a 195 as you can with a 205, theoretically you will go faster with the 195 due to less rolling resistance.
Afterall you are only talking about 10 millimeters. That's not even half an inch of extra rubber.
EDIT: Ignore the signature. That is for the Kills newbies.

The more contact patch the better.
