Hi,
Per some recommendations from others, I set my cam gears to +3 intake and +1 exhaust and it made a HUGE difference. I had a flat spot from 5K rpm to 6K rpm. That is gone, and the low and mid are incredible. Gobs of TQ. High end feels as good as before, but there may be more potential there.
My head is milled 20 thousandths, so I was told to advance both gears to compensate.
My VTEC X OVER is 6800, and it seems like a very smooth transition. I've tried lower and higher and this feels best so far.
My fuel pressure is about 45 with vaccum line off and covered.
Obviously, everything varies depending on your setup, but I'm so happy with the improved perf of my car I thought I would share. I dyno on 8/18, but it's just going to be 3 pulls for a baseline and maybe tweak the fuel a little. I'm prob still running rich...
My idle was pretty smooth before with cam gears at 0/0, but now I have a distinct lope. I actually kind of like it, lol. As Steve and other have posted, you give up a smooth idle for more power. It's funny to pull away from a street light, since it feels almost like it's gonna stall for about 500 rpm if you don't give it much gas, then from about 2000 it just comes alive.
Good luck,
FB

i would add that high compression pistons are needed to extract the most power out of them - "Michael Delaney" just did a post on this last month.
THANX Guys but I need a little bit more detailed info like actual fuel pressure And vtec X-over point I have had mine at 5800 with no problems though?
SO if you have just a little bit more info on were to add and subract fuel ..that would be good

well even though my set up is completely unttuned, w/ cam gears set at 0, fuel pressure w/ vacuum is 58 psi, 16 deg timing, I think you said you had the FC, injector duty set at 100% on RC 310's...
