Dual DCOE's
Has anyone here done a dual Weber DCOE conversion on their car? I know it's available for the B16/18's. I'm looking to do something very similar and have some questions about it.
yep bad as hell. i ran them on my d15, d16, friends zc and my b20. ripped on all of them. timing with them is a little hard. get a vacum advanced dizzy off a carbed crx/civic. the jets arnt too hard, just a little tricky. persanaly i would go with micuni or webers. webers where nice because i could by jets and gaskets at any bug shop. my micunis i had to buy every thing on line. if you look up bizmoto i'm pretty shure he's running them too. good luck man. i have an extra zc manifold if you need one.
well, I didn't really mention what I'm putting these on. They're going on my A20A3. That's the engine that came stock in the 88-89 Accords. 2.0L, SOHC, 120hp stock. Turns out the B-series (16/18) head bolt and port configuration (intake side) is almost identical to that of the A20A head. So I got the B-manifold and now just need to mod it to fit.
Do you happen to know what sort of power yeild these accounted for? How much increase in tq and hp over stock? Also did it change the torque curve at all? Did you run 40's or 45's? What choke did you have?
I don't know jet sizes on mine, but they're brand new 45's with 36mm. chokes, and tall air horns. (It's been said that the tall horn helps low end a little.
