Hey...I went to Nopi this weekend & I was going to build a Mustang BUT I got a 90 Standard Hatch sittin here in my driveway with a blown engine so I figured let's have fun with it. I talked to a bunch of drivers & builders of cars at Nopi & they helped alot. I was just wondering if anyone has any pics of a built hatch. I already plan on removing all the windows except the windshield & making my own lexan windows. I also plan on removing the dash & making an aluminum dash. I am needing more info on what roll cage i'll be needing & what suspension work will all need to be done. I'm going with a fiberglass 1 piece front end, fiberglass doors & hatch also...I'll be worrying more about the engine later. Right now I just want to build the body. I thought about making the front tubed but I don't know if I want to get into that much right now...So any help will be appreciated. Thanks alot. Oh by the way I'm not so 16 yr old kid who thinks he can do all this & run 10s, I do understand the cost & time & all that...Thanks again.

 

I know some one who has a 1990 civic hatchback that is a backhalf car. It has a fiberglass hood and doors. It might be a roling chassie. Howard at AR Fab has it. Let me know if you are intersted in it.

 

The car is also NHRA Cert. too......
