Do High Flow cats really make a difference?

I run the Carsouns 2.5'' cat and have had no problems thus far.
It is highly recommended that you have your car dyno tuned for a/f ratio though, because apparently CarSound cats HATE rich conditions and the bricks inside rot away and fall apart.
I've never ran mine rich and so I guess that's why it's been great thus far.
