I just did a sohc vtec swap in my 89 civic si and I am throwing codes 6 and 20. which I beleive are crank angle sensor and electric load detector. I replaced the fuse box in the engine bay thinking that was causing code 20. But after i replaced it the code was still there. I have tried to reset the computer but no luck. Also the car seems to have problems getting fuel. when I press on the gas it wants to die. and it wont rev past 3 grand. Please help.

 

For the crank angle sensor code, make sur eyour wiring is 100 percent, or it could be a bad distributor. As for the electronic load detector code, it is most likely a bad alternator... do a search, I know it's been covered recently.

 

Thanks you will check my alternator. Also if you or anyone else knows why my car is running like crap and not revving past 3 grand. And why it feels like its going to die when i give it gas. thanks again

 

Its running like crap because of the Cylinder Position Sensor...

 

I am also throwing code 14. The harness I have was cut pretty bad and I was going to run the eavc straight to the ecu but I dont now which pins they are on the ecu. Also if my car was running bad due to the cylinder positioning sensor wouldnt I be throwing that code. or is code 6 cylinder positioning sensor and not crank angle sensor? Thanks again
