picks of a blown b18c7 - can we fix it???

Default picks of a blown b18c7 - can we fix it???

guys i'm getting a new motor anyway but regarding this motor, I know I can get a new bore, possibly crank but can the head be welded or is she damaged beyond repair. also pro's and cons' of welding???

any advice much appreciated!!!!

yup, we can fix it


the block looks good, so you can fix that up. but depending on the head, its gonna be pricey.

edit: the pics of the head are on page 3..

Help you out with some pix ....there's more if you guys visit the link above....

the head looks very exp. to fix.... I think it's best you just salvage the block and then buy a 16A head and have it ported instead.

Try using the MACRO feature on your camera when taking close ups.

The head looks trashed IMO. the block can be salvaged Maybe a good 2.0l candidate

i did use macro... yeah i'm thinking 2.0L here we come... rocket??? those parts???

ok if it were your motor what would you do???

I'm thinking re-sleeve, new valve train, new b16a head???

List what gear you would use and CR ratio's bearing in mind i'm after reliabilty not really power... so I'm thinking rocket or ef-1 cams m22 e.t.c.

That pic of the piston looks just like my old Turbo ZC motor when I dropped a valve in the number 4 cyclinder. Except my whole was alot bigger. How did it blow again ?
