alright, so i was driving the other day on the expressway in traffic and everytime i would throw my car into neutral my RPM's would drop all the way down to zero and my car would stall out...my car just would not idle...

so then, i got home and went out for evening in another car...in the morning i drove my car for awhile and all was great...

a few hours later i went to start my car and now it wont start at all...i have electricity but my car just wont start...i turn the key and there is just one click and thats it...at first it seemed like it wanted to turn over but as i kept trying to start it it seemed weaker and weaker...

what could the problem be???

i would check the alternator. jumpstart the car since the battery is drained. with the engine running check the voltage. it should be around 14v.

 

take one of the spark plugs out and check to see if there is a spark

 

anyone else have an idea??

 

the click seems like the starter to me especially that its getting weaker and weaker...[mine does the same thing] but the car not idleing is weird...HTH!

 

The idling problem is that the car has carbon in it
