My car really is f***ed up.
You guys might remember me posting before about how my LSD is messed up. Well let me recap; the car could never really go straigt when the hands are taken off the steering wheel. The LSD (I think that's the problem) makes the car move arbitrarily to which ever direction it chooses (to the left or the right). The steering feels "loose", it doesn't feel as tight as it used to. The higher the speed you travel the more responsive or sensitive the steering becomes, but I want that same responsiveness when going slow. When I first got the car, the steering was excellent; it wasn't loose at all. My question is is it the LSD or could I possibly be needing new tires??? Another problem is the driver's seat, the seat has become loose. Everytime I'm accelerating I hear like a sqeaking noise from the reclining back of the seat; soooo annoying! One more thing which pisses me off the most is that my car has swirl marks. I have never brought the car to the car wash; always washed it myself, and never used a buffer. All of a sudden there are swirl marks on my car. I'm so frustrated! What is possibly wrong? HELP!!

Your steering problem is most likely alignment related, sounds like a little bit of toe out on the front wheels. Are your tires showing uneven wear, particularly on the inside edge in the front? As for the seat, dunno what to tell you, see if you can isolate the cause or get it replaced under warranty. I know D's lumbar broke on him, is yours in working order? As for swirl marks, honda paint is pretty lame. Doesn't take much to get swirl marks...i'm sure there's stuff you can do to remove them, but i'm also pretty sure i wouldn't care to spend the time
Good luck with steering problem, hope it's an alignment thing, much quicker/cheaper fix than LSD. (i think if it were the LSD, you'd hear some intersting noises)

Thanks for the response. I'm gonna check tonight if its alignment related. Oh by the way, do our cars have a clearcoat??

So how much does a full alignment usually cost?? Well I haven't nailed any curbs, but I have exited highway ramps around 60 mph, though!!

First, check tires pressures
Then check your tire treads for uneven wear. Check your lug nuts too.
Then get your alignment checked (you should get a new alignment done at least once a year if you change your rims a lot or drive aggressively).
The seat back squeaking should go away with some graphite lubricant.
Swirl marks are a toughie - especially on darker cars. I've used the Meguiars system of polishes with much success. They actually have a 'swirl remover' in their 3 part wax/polish system. Zymol makes good stuff too. Hand polishing is best, but an orbital buffer can make the job a lot easier.
