Maybe I'll roll with you ITR queens

Let me know the time Alex, and I might show.
EDIT: the showing up together idea would be cool...maybe all gather somewhere close by first then flood the meet

I hope it's not in the same parking lot as it was last year. The cops eventually booted most of the cars out after about 3 hours.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Finally secured a location for us to meet. The meet is on the 2nd of
August (Saturday) at 7:30AM in Santa Monica. We are going to meet at
the beach. The parking lot is located right next to the Santa Monica
peer.
Please visit the link below for more informations
http://socalsportscars.com/sccmv/
The meet location address is
1550 Palisades Beach Rd
Santa Monica, CA
90401-2109, US
This is the parking lot that is next to the Santa Monica peer with the
ferris wheel. The parking lot will open at 7:30AM and I highly
recommend that you get that as close to 7:30 as possible. I'm still working on
reserving the needed 500 spots for the event. You will have to pay a
$7.00 parking fee to park there. If I'm able to negotiate that down a
bit, I'll let you all know. For now please count on spending the $7.00.
We are going to be on the beach. The location is great and the weather
should be clear. To get to this location, the easiest way is to take
the Santa Monica freeway (10) going west
Exit on 4th Street and make a Left
When you get to Pico make a Right and keep going to the end of the road
and make a Right.
Then keep following the road until it ends at the parking lot.
This is a public parking lot. As such I can't guarantee you that there
will be spaces available if you arrive late.
To map the location from where you are, please click HERE
AS YOU ARRIVE, PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO ATTRACT UNNECESSARY ATTENTION TO
YOUR SELF OR YOUR CAR BY REVVING THE ENGINE OR CHIRPING YOUR TIRES.
THERE ARE HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS NEAR BY, SO PLEASE SHOW THEM SOME COMMON
COURTESY.
See you all there.

The Santa Barbara one doesn't count because it was later in the day and the drive was nice.
Driving the 10 fwy that early doesn't sound like it's gonna be all that good
MAYBE......we'll see

I just got off the phone with City of Santa Monica about the parking
situation. The lot that we are meeting in can accommodate a total of
11,073 cars. That doesn’t mean that all of them are available.
Unfortunately, they will not reserve any spaces being that it’s the summer time
and on a weekend. That said, it is very important for everyone to show
up as early as possible. The parking lot will open at 7:30 AM. I know
some of you have to drive some distance to get there but nothing can be
done about it.
Also, when you arrive, try to park the cars toward the northwest corner
of the lot.
Secondly, the parking fee is now $8.00. The $7.00 fee is on weekdays
and it goes up by a dollar on the weekends. Being that this lot is city
owned, there was no chance of getting the price knock down by couple of
dollars.
So to sum it all up, the event is at 7:30 this Saturday the 2nd in
Santa Monica. If you like maps and directions, visit the link below.

Since it’s at the beach, a beach theme is a good idea so feel free to
bring your swimming suits, specially the ladies. As for the guys, I
couldn’t care less what you do ;-)
Drive safe and see you all this Saturday bright and early.
