Default well ****, just cleaned my engine bay, no i have a check engine light.....

I have a '97 gsr. I just cleaned the motor the way i always do, simple green and a hose then let it dry for like 3 hours and no i have a friggin check engine light. I covered the dist. and the intake when i did it. I left w/ no problems but about 5 miles down the road, the light came on and the car is underpowered, almost sputtering. The light flashes 15 times then goes solid. This mean anything? How do i reset the computer on this car? Where is the computer? I checked under the carpet on the pass side and there's this soft black thing there. The computer under that or no?
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pull the negative cable on your battery off for about 5 Min's. Then put it back on. Start the car BUT DO NOT TOUCH THE GAS. Let it idle till its at operating temperature or about 5 Min's. Then pray that its gone.

they have the cover over them. I guess that's not good enough? I found that a couple sensors are wet so i undid them and am letting them all dry before i go out there again.

ok, the check engine light just flashes untill i drop it down to idle, then it stops. I'll try the battery thing. any other suggestions? How do you tell what code your throwing, do you have to have a scanner?

check the code thats in the computer now

http://www.c-speedracing.com/faq/06.php

then pull the calbes out of the ecu and leave em out for w min or so. that will reset the ecu. then start her up and see if the code comes back.

ok, i found the problem, i hope it's the only one anyways. Apparently the #2 plug wire wasn't pushed down all the way and filled the plug hole w/ water. I got all of it out and am letting it chill in the sun to dry out. Thank god the plugs are sealed real good. Anyways, where the hell is the computer on this sucker?

you might want to use a hair dryer to speed up the process... although here it's 90+ out
