so theres a recycling place right up the street. i took my car and its gutted except the passenger seat *for now* and the dash of course. with a 1/4 tank of gas it weighs 1980 lbs. i paid $5 for a print out. to me. but i was just pretty happy.

 

what year std? DOHC or SOHC engine?

 

Damn. I should get a std shell for my engine... my Si weighs a whopping 2360 without me in it.

 

I was at the recycler this weekend, too. My 89 Civic Si, minus a/c and front bumper core, with d16a6, was 2055 with 1/2 tank of gas.

A gutted std model was 1980? Seems heavy to me... especially considering an 88 std was 1933 lbs stock...

 

everything on my car is stock. and its a d15 POS with a 4 speed. im hoping for right around 2000 even with a different motor, CF hood, fiberglass hatch lexan and further gutting of the heater and other seat.

edit: its a 91 the one with the seatbelts in the doors those weigh 7 lbs each. so theyll go out and in comes a 4 point.
