if your looking to get more than 200hp from a naturally aspirated f22b expect to pay a shitload more than you would for an h22a

if your talking strictly dollars, then an f22 with a turbo kit beats an H22a every time

true, but i'm not sure if this guy is building up for a turbo, or for n/a. and either way, if you build the motor it's gonna get pretty expensive, even though it would be worth it if he goes turbo.

Correct...almost. The Level Ten transmission kit makes a difference.

Not yet, still trying. I had the money put back, but the reapir costs after the Gude problem ate most of that. The closest dyno is P1 Racing which is about 3-4 hours away. I'm going to try and do a couple of other things before I make the drive; my schedule won't allow for many side trips. I hope that by the end of the year I'll be through with this project.

Okay, start with the new sleeved block (around $1000 for the kit and machine work), add "new guts" (billet rods and forged pistons are going to be another $1000), cam (you can get a regrind for around $250), add the turbo (another $2-4000), plus tuning, engine management, fuel upgrades etc. You get the idea.

The F22 can be made into a very potent power plant, but it's gonna cost big bucks to do it right. The H22 engine will be more reliable even after all the work.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd do the swap. You could just put a turbo kit on your stock engine, keep the boost down to manageable levels, and have just as much power (or a little more) than the H22.

Good luck with your project, which ever way you decide to go.

hey if u want a turbo i got one for the f22a motor and i will sell it with everything needed to install it plus exhaust for 650 to 700. all u owuld need is boost gauge and air/fuel. also with the f22a just so everyone knows you can hit put to about 12 psi with no fuel cut. when i was tuning my car ilt was first hitting 11psi with no fuel cut but i got it down to 7psi now. well hope to hear from you soon.
